Hydrogen Research for Transportation: The USCAR Perspective
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 14, 2009 – The United States Council for Automotive Research has published a whitepaper on the importance of continued research of hydrogen as a transportation 'fuel.' The report, available for download on the USCAR Web site, highlights the importance of hydrogen as a promising zero-emission fuel source when used to power the highly efficient fuel cell electric vehicles, of which today, Chrysler Group LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company, already have more than 70 fuel cell vehicles on the road in Department of Energy test fleets. Combined, these hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCV) have logged more than 800,000 miles with zero tailpipe emissions. Click here to download a PDF copy of this report. |
