Aerodynamics Working Group

Welcome to the official Web page of the Aerodynamics Working Group.

Through non-competitive collaboration, the goals of the Aerodynamics Working Group are to strengthen the U.S. technology base by:

  • Developing a shared data base of aerodynamic benchmark information
  • Improving current test procedures and correction methods
  • Identifying competitive aerodynamic design solutions
  • Improving aerodynamic target setting processes to achieve competitive levels
  • Reducing product development and facility testing costs
  • Creating an Automotive Aerodynamics Center of Excellence in cooperation with universities in southeast Michigan

To provide a cooperative working environment to strengthen the aerodynamic technology base in the U.S. Automotive Industry, and to improve fuel economy and reduce costs through non-competitive collaboration.

The USCAR Aerodynamics Working Group has collaborated on more than 400 aerodynamic benchmarks.
